The S&P GSCI is a production-weighted commodity benchmark based on 24 futures contracts and serves as a widely used reference for commodity ETFs with a large energy component. In August 2026 the maximum reached 720.69 index points, the minimum was 646.55 index points and the average stood at 687.82 index points. The composition includes agricultural commodities, energy, non-ferrous metals and precious metals.
