AEON Adds Chilean Bank Transfers to Its Global Settlement Network for AI Commerce

AEON, the settlement layer built for the agentic economy, has expanded its local payment infrastructure into Chile with support for bank transfer payments in Chilean Pesos (CLP). The new integration allows users to shop at participating merchants, enter the amount in CLP, select their preferred crypto asset and wallet, and complete the payment through AEON Pay. AEON then handles the crypto-to-fiat conversion and initiates a local bank transfer to the merchant, combining the flexibility of crypto with the familiarity of Chilean mobile and online banking.Bank transfers remain an important part of Chile's digital commerce landscape, particularly for larger-value purchases. Direct bank transfers account for around 15% of online purchases, with consumers relying on established institutions such as Banco de Chile, Santander, and BancoEstado. The preference reflects the reliability and perceived security of familiar domestic banking infrastructure, making local bank transfer settlement an important bridge between digital assets and everyday commerce. The Chile expansion adds another local settlement rail to AEON's growing presence across Latin America. AEON has gone live in emerging markets like Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Peru, Bolivia, Colombia, and other countries in the SEA and Africa. AEON Pay is available through Telegram MiniApps, walletdApps, and exchange integrations includingBinanceWallet, Bitget Wallet, OKX Wallet, Solana Pay, TokenPocket, KuCoin, and Bybit, and now supports more than 50 million merchants and 10,000+ global brands across markets with brands such as McDonald's, Pizza Hut, and UNIQLO among those accessible through its network.More importantly, local bank transfers give AEON's settlement layer a direct connection to the financial infrastructure that moves money in the real economy. As AI agents evolve from systems that recommend actions into agents capable of executing them, physical purchasing power becomes an essential part of AI commerce.By converting crypto assets and settling merchants through domestic bank transfers, AEON enables an AI agent to use digital assets on the funding side while completing transactions in the fiat currency and banking infrastructure familiar to the merchant. The agent does not need to understand the merchant's preferred banking system; AEON handles the settlement layer underneath.Every new local payment method therefore expands the potential physical reach of AI agents. As AEON continues connecting local payment and banking networks across Latin America, Africa, and Southeast Asia, its settlement layer is building the infrastructure for AI agents to move from digital actions to real-world purchases, and from autonomous decisions to autonomous commerce.
